By far the most produced tortoises in the world are almost certainly the sulcata tortoises of north central Africa. Sulcata tortoises are sometimes called African spurred, African spur thigh, and just spurred tortoises. As recently as some decades in the past sulcata tortoises were uncommon in America, but they have proven an awesome ability to ada
